Cornmeal Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter (no substitutes), softened
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    2 unbaked (9-inch) pie shells
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 Tbsp. flour
    whipped cream (optional)
Preparation
    In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar.
    Beat in eggs, one at a time.
    Add syrup, milk and vanilla.
    Mix well. Fold in cornmeal and flour.
    Pour into pie shells.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 300\u00b0.
    Bake 20 to 25 minutes longer or until pie tests done.
    Cool.
    Garnish with whipped cream, if desired.
