Slush Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large pkg. Jell-O
    3 1/2 c. sugar
    1 (46 oz.) can pineapple juice
    1 (46 oz.) can orange juice
    water
    ginger ale
Preparation
    Dissolve Jell-O in 4 cups boiling water.
    Add sugar with 8 cups water and boil 3 minutes.
    Add pineapple and orange juice. Freeze.
    Thaw 2 1/2 hours before serving.
    Add 2 quarts of ginger ale to each gallon.
    (Add 2 packages of Kool-Aid, same flavor as Jell-O used, to make a richer and deeper color, if desired.)
