Maple Candied Walnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1/3 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. walnut halves
    1/2 tsp. maple flavoring
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients over low heat until sugar dissolves.
    (Candy thermometer should read 238\u00b0, soft ball stage.) Remove from heat and blend in maple flavoring and butter.
    Add walnut halves.
    Stir gently until creamy.
    Turn out onto waxed paper and separate.
