Victorian Tea Pastry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. margarine*
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 Tbsp. water
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. almond flavoring
    1/4 c. butter, softened
    1 c. confectioners sugar
    1 Tbsp. milk
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1/4 to 1/2 c. sliced almonds, toasted
Preparation
    Combine the butter, sugar, milk and almond extract and spread over warm pastries.
    Sprinkle with nuts.
