Bavarian Meat Balls And Pears - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (29 oz.) can Bartlett pear halves
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/4 c. fine bread crumbs
    1/2 c. minced onions
    3 Tbsp. minced parsley
    1 egg
    1/4 c. milk
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1/4 c. cider vinegar
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 tsp. pickling spice
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    1/2 c. dried apricots
    1/4 tsp. ground allspice
Preparation
    Drain pears; reserve syrup for later.
    Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, onions, parsley, egg, milk, salt, pepper and allspice.
    Mix well and shape into 1 1/2-inch balls.
