Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. broth (chicken or beef; College Inn)
    1 c. lentils
    salt and pepper
    1/2 c. tomato sauce
    1 onion, chopped
    2 celery, chopped
    1 or 2 carrots
    3 cloves garlic, crushed
    1/4 c. olive oil (do not substitute)
Preparation
    Cook lentils in broth with salt and pepper for 1 1/2 hours. Add other ingredients and cook for 30 to 45 minutes more until tender.
