Bananas Foster - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 c. margarine, preferably unsalted
    1/2 c. creme de banana (or banana flavoring)
    1/2 c. dark rum
    4 bananas, halved lengthwise
    4 scoops rich vanilla ice cream (French vanilla is good)
    mint sprigs, if desired
Preparation
    In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon with a fork, set aside.
    In a heavy 12-inch skillet, melt margarine over medium heat.
    Add cinnamon-sugar mixture, stir until sugar melts.
    Pour in banana liqueur and 1/4 cup rum.
    Cook, stirring, until syrupy and thick (about 5 minutes).
    Add bananas, lightly coating with syrup.
    Add remaining 1/4 cup rum, swirl pan, ignite rum.
    Quickly swirl pan, cook, basting bananas with sauce until flame goes out. Remove from heat.
    Place 2 banana slices on each of 4 plates, side by side.
    Place
    scoop of ice cream on top of each serving. Drizzle with sauce.
    Decorate with mint, if desired.
    Serve immediately.
