Baked French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 slices day old French bread (1 1/2 inches thick)
    4 eggs
    4 c. whole milk
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Place bread slices in greased baking dish.
    Beat together eggs, milk, 1/3 cup sugar, lemon peel, vanilla, and salt.
    Pour over bread; let stand for 5 minutes.
    Turn over bread, cover and chill 5 hours to overnight.
    Combine 1 tablespoon sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
    Sprinkle over bread.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 uncovered for 40 to 45 minutes.
