Fried Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 to 8 slices bacon
1 medium head cabbage
1 medium onion
2 to 3 medium carrots
3 to 4 all-purpose potatoes
salt to taste
pepper to taste
Preparation

Fry bacon to crisp. Drain and reserve drippings.
Shred cabbage, shred carrots, julienne potatoes and slice onions.
Put 3 to 4 tablespoons of drippings plus 2 tablespoons butter in skillet.
Set to medium heat.
Place onions in skillet and then mix remaining ingredients and place on top. Cover and let simmer for several minutes. Remove cover and toss occasionally until tender-crisp. When finished, crumble bacon and place on top.
