White Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. great northern beans, soaked
    6 c. chicken broth
    1 lg. onion onion chopped, 1 c.
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    2 (4 oz.) cans diced green chili peppers
    1 Tbsp. oregano
    1 Tbsp. ground cumin
    1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    4 c. chopped cooked chicken
    1/2 c. (2 oz.) shredded monterey jack cheese
Preparation
    Soak beans, drain.
    Combine beans, broth, onion, garlic, chillis, oregano, cumin, red pepper, salt and pepper.
    Bring to a boil.
    Stir in chicken and simmer (covered) 1/2 hour to 1 hour more.
    Before serving, stir in cheese just until melted.
