Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour, sifted
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 c. bananas, mashed
    1/2 c. pecans
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, soda and salt) in a small bowl.
    In a large bowl, cream the shortening and sugar. Add vanilla.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Mix flour into creamed mixture alternately with the buttermilk.
    Stir in the bananas and pecans.
    Pour into a well-greased and floured pan (13 x 9-inch rectangle pan or two 8-inch round layers).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Suggest cream cheese icing.
