Gooey Butter Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) box pound cake
    2 eggs
    1 stick butter
    8 oz. cream cheese
    2 eggs
    1 lb. powdered sugar (keep out 1/2 c. sugar out of lb. to sprinkle on top before baking)
Preparation
    Mix cake mix, eggs and butter. Spread on cookie sheet. Beat cream cheese, eggs and powdered sugar (add tablespoon lemon juice if desired). Pour over cake mix batter. Sprinkle 1/2 cup sugar and nuts (if desired) over top before baking. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes until edges are golden brown. Cool and cut into bars.
