Greek Island Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. pecans
    1/2 stick oleo
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    1/2 stick oleo
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Toast pecans with 1/2 stick oleo.
    Mix together the sugar, milk and syrup.
    Boil for 3 minutes.
    Remove from heat and add pecans. Add 1/2 stick of oleo and vanilla.
    Beat until stiff.
    Drop by teaspoon onto wax paper.
    Cool, then peel clusters off paper. Store in airtight container.
