100 Year Old Black Walnut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. rum extract
    3 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. shortening
    5 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped black walnuts (or walnuts and black walnut flavoring)
Preparation
    Beat butter and shortening.
    Add sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add extracts to milk.
    Add baking powder to flour.
    Alternately add liquid and dry ingredients to batter.
    Stir in walnuts.
    Pour batter into a greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for about 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until cake is tested done.
