Italian Style Meat Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 egg
1/4 c. minced onion
1/2 c. seasoned bread crumbs
salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 c. small pasta shells
1 (15 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
1/3 c. seasoned bread crumbs
1/3 c. grated cheese
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
In large bowl, combine beef, egg, onion, 1/2 cup bread crumbs, salt and pepper.
Mix well.
Put mixture into a 9-inch pie pan and shape as a crust.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
Pour off excess grease.
Meanwhile, prepare pasta according to package.
Drain well.
Spoon pasta into baked meat crust; pour sauce evenly over pasta.
Sprinkle remaining bread crumbs and cheese over pie and return to oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
Serves 6.
