Franklin Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    4 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
    1 lb. pecans
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream
    butter
    and sugar.
    Add beaten eggs.
    Add 3 cups flour, sifted with the salt and baking powder.
    Mix remaining flour with cherries, pineapple and nuts.
    Stir into batter and add vanilla. Bake at 250\u00b0 for 3 hours.
