Sweet Cucumber Pickle Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 gal. large cucumbers, peeled, cored and sliced
2 c. lime (pickling)
2 gal. water
1 c. white vinegar
1 Tbsp. alum
1 bottle red food coloring
3 c. vinegar
15 c. sugar
1 lb. red hots (candy)
3 c. water
10 cinnamon spice sticks, broken in pieces

Preparation

Mix lime and first amount of water; pour over cucumbers and let stand 24 hours.
Drain and wash good in clear water.
Layer with ice and let stand overnight.
Drain.
