German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. bacon slices
    8 lb. potatoes, boiled, peeled and diced
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 stalks celery, diced
    1/4 c. water
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    pepper and salt to taste
    1 Tbsp. bacon fat
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp.
    Drain off fat and reserve for later. Crumble bacon.
    In large bowl toss potatoes, bacon, onions and celery.
    Combine enough water to cornstarch to make a smooth paste, set aside.
    Heat remaining water in a pan, add sugar, salt and vinegar.
    Next add 1 tablespoon bacon fat and pepper.
    Bring to a boil before adding cornstarch mixture and stir sauce until it is clear.
    Pour sauce over potato mixture.
    Warm in microwave oven until heated through.
