1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 Tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped salted peanuts (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0. Beat butter or margarine with peanut butter. Add sugars. Beat until light and fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Beat well. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Beat until well blended. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in sugar, if desired. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press crisscross markings with a fork. Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven about 10 minutes or until done. Cool 1 minute. Makes about 4 dozen.
