Applesauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    apples
    small amount water
    sugar to taste
    salt
    spices (if you desire)
Preparation
    Wash, peel, core and quarter apples.
    Simmer, covered, in small amount of water until tender.
    Press apples through sieve. Sweeten sauce to taste (about 1/2 cup sugar to four apples).
    Use a small amount of salt and spices, if you desire.
    Serve with meat.
    Use as many apples as you'd like.
