Cottage Pudding(Actually A Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/3 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1 c. whole milk
Preparation
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder together. Add sugar, egg, shortening and milk. Mix to a stiff batter. Bake in an 8 x 8-inch greased pan at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until center springs back when pressed or straw comes out clean. Serve with chocolate or lemon sauce.
