Apple Baked Squash - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium butternut squash
3 medium apples
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. margarine, softened
1 1/2 tsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Mix the brown sugar, margarine, flour, salt and cinnamon together until well mixed and set aside.
Peel and slice the squash and apples into thin (1/8 inch or less) slices.
Alternate layers of squash, then apples in a 1 1/2-quart covered baking dish until half of the squash and apples are used.
Spread less than half of the brown sugar mixture on top of the squash-apple layers. Continue to alternate the squash and apples until each is used up.
Top with remaining brown sugar mixture.
Cover and cook in microwave on High for 30 minutes.
Let stand for 10 minutes, or bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
