Braised Short Ribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 to 4 lb. lean country style ribs
    1 bay leaf
    1/3 c. cooking sherry
    1 clove garlic
    1 onion, stuck with cloves
    2 cans beef broth
    1/3 c. flour
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Dredge ribs with flour, salt and pepper.
    Brown on all sides. Drain off fat from pan and add onion, bay leaf and beef broth. Bake about 2 to 3 hours at 350\u00b0 or until fork-tender.
    Discard onion and bay leaf.
