Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 small box lemon Jell-O
    1 c. pecans, chopped
    12 oz. Cool Whip
    large can crushed pineapple
    1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
    1 c. apple, chopped
Preparation
    Boil crushed pineapple and sugar for 3 minutes. Add Jell-O and cream cheese (cubed and softened) and stir well. Leave in bowl and put in fridge to chill for about 20 minutes. Fold in pecans, apple and 6 ounces Cool Whip. Spread in serving dish and return to fridge until firm. Top with remaining 6 ounces Cool Whip.
