Refrigerator Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg
Preparation
    In a large mixing bowl, combine yeast and 2 cups flour.
    In 4-cup glass measure, combine milk, sugar and shortening.
    Heat, uncovered, at High in microwave for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes (until warm and shortening begins to melt).
    Add to dry mixture in bowl and add egg.
    Beat at low speed with mixer for 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly.
    Beat 3 minutes at high speed.
    By hand, stir in remaining flour to make a soft dough.
    Place in oiled bowl, turning once to completely oil surface.
    Cover and chill for 2 hours.
    Let rise once; roll out and make into rolls.
    Bake in a preheated oven at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown. Brush with softened butter.
