German Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 oz. sweet cooking chocolate
    1/2 c. boiling water
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs, separated
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cake:
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Melt chocolate in boiling water. Cream butter and sugar.
    Add yolks one at a time, beating in between.
    Add vanilla and chocolate.
    Sift flour, soda and salt. Add dry items alternately with buttermilk to the butter mixture. Fold in stiff egg whites and pour batter into three 9-inch pans lined with wax paper.
    Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Frost when cool.
