Delicious Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. white sugar
1 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
3 eggs, separated
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
3 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar.
Add remaining ingredients in order except egg whites.
Beat egg whites and add last.
Bake in a shallow pan, never a loaf pan, at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 35 minutes.
Test at 25 minutes.
Cut in squares when cool.
Cake requires no frosting.
