Hard Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. Karo light corn syrup
1 c. water
1 tsp. flavoring
1/4 tsp. coloring
Preparation

Combine sugar, Karo syrup and water in saucepan.
Bring to a boil.
Stir often over medium heat.
Boil until 310\u00b0 on candy thermometer or until candy crackles in cold water.
Add flavoring and food coloring.
Put in buttered cookie sheet.
When it starts to harden, cut with kitchen scissors.
Or, for a fast and easy way, use a pizza cutter and snap pieces apart.
For the finishing touch, put candy in powdered sugar.
It will also keep it from sticking together.
