Buttermilk Congealed Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 1/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. apricot-flavored gelatin (may use strawberry)
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 large carton Cool Whip
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Pour pineapple with juice and jello in boiler; mix well. Bring mixture to a rolling boil, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Refrigerate until it starts to thicken.
    Stir in buttermilk, Cool Whip and nuts.
    Mix well.
