Onion-Smothered Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 lb. beef round steak
    2 Tbsp. oil
    3 medium onions, sliced
    1 c. water
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 bay leaf
    1/4 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
Preparation
    Combine flour, salt and pepper.
    Pound into meat.
    Cut steak into serving size pieces.
    Brown meat in hot oil.
    Top with onion slices; stir in remaining ingredients.
    Bring to boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 1 hour or longer.
    Remove bay leaf.
