Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. peanuts (regular, not raw)
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. butter
Preparation
    Cook sugar and corn syrup; add water to 280\u00b0 medium crack. Add peanuts; cook 3 more minutes or until light golden brown, stirring constantly.
    Add soda; remove at once from heat.
    Add vanilla and butter; stir.
    As soon as foaming has stopped, pour candy into greased cookie sheet with sides (thin layer).
    When cool, break into pieces.
    This turns out everytime.
