Swiss Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. instant nonfat milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli, cooked and drained
2 1/4 c. water
1 (10 3/4 oz.) condensed chicken broth
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. green onion, chopped
1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded Swiss cheese
Preparation

Combine milk, flour and seasonings in a 3-quart heavy saucepan.
Stir in water and broth until smooth.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Boil and stir 1 minute. Meanwhile, saute onions in butter until tender, about 3 minutes. Stir onions and cooled broccoli into the thickened sauce. Gradually stir in cheese until melted, if necessary,
return to low heat to finish melting the cheese.
Do not boil.
Serve immediately.
