Layered Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. coarsely chopped lettuce
    1 lb. bacon (crisp and crumbled)
    salt, pepper and sugar
    6 hard-boiled eggs
    10 oz. pkg. frozen peas, thawed
    1/4 c. sliced green onion
    paprika
    2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Swiss cheese
    1 c. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Place 3 cups lettuce in bottom of bowl.
    Sprinkle lightly with salt, pepper and sugar.
    Layer eggs on top of lettuce.
    Layer in order:
    peas, remaining lettuce, bacon and Swiss cheese.
    Spread mayonnaise over top to cover to edge of bowl.
    Cover and chill 24 hours.
    Garnish with green onion and paprika.
    Toss before serving.
    Serves 12 to 15.
