Chicken A La King - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. diced cooked chicken
2 tsp. shortening
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1/4 c. chopped celery
1/4 c. mushrooms
2 Tbsp. chopped pimento
1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
1 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. flour
salt and pepper
Preparation

Melt shortening and fry onion, green pepper and celery until tender.
Remove.
Melt butter in skillet; add flour until it makes a paste.
Add milk gradually, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
Add salt, pepper, chicken, sauteed vegetables, pimento, mushrooms and parsley.
Reduce heat and cook additional 5 minutes.
