Roast Chicken With Herbs And Lemon - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 lb. roasting chicken
1 1/2 lemons
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
2 Tbsp. butter, melted, or olive oil
1/2 tsp. dried tarragon or 1 tsp. fresh tarragon
1 tsp. chopped fresh parsley
1/2 tsp. dried dill weed or 1 tsp. fresh dill weed
1/4 tsp. ground coriander
1/8 tsp. powdered ginger
1/2 c. chicken stock or canned chicken broth
1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
1/2 c. sour cream (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Rub juice from 1/2 lemon inside the chicken and sprinkle inside with salt and pepper.
Put melted butter or olive oil over chicken.
Sprinkle with remaining salt and pepper.
Truss chicken, if desired.
Mix herbs and spices and sprinkle over chicken.
Roast, uncovered, for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Baste occasionally with pan juices.
