Buttermilk Corn Bread - cooking recipe

3/4 c. Lysine cornmeal
1 c. white flour
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 egg, beaten
2 Tbsp. melted margarine
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Stir together cornmeal, flour, sugar and salt.
Set aside.
Dissolve soda in buttermilk.
Add beaten egg and melted margarine; stir until mixed, then add to dry ingredients and mix well.
Turn into greased 9 x 9-inch pan or into greased muffin pan.
Bake 20 minutes or until golden and done.
