Old-Fashioned Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. cake flour, sifted 3 times
    1 lb. butter or margarine
    2 1/2 c. sugar (reserve 6 tsp. for egg whites)
    8 eggs, separated
    1/4 c. sugar
    8 Tbsp. coffee cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg whites with 1/4 cup sugar.
    Keep in the refrigerator until ready to use.
