Hard Rock Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. homemade syrup
    1 stick butter
    2 c. nuts
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. coconut
Preparation
    Place syrup in a saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Cook and stir to hard boil stage.
    (Mixture caramelizes slightly as it cooks.)
    Remove from heat.
    Stir nuts, butter and coconut in.
    Pour into a well-greased cookie sheet. Chill for 2 hours.
    To eat, break off pieces.
