Almond Roca - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. whole almonds
    1 12-oz. pkg. chocolate chips
    1/2 c. ground walnuts
Preparation
    Melt butter over high heat.
    Add sugar, stirring constantly (mixture will foam).
    Continue cooking and stirring; add almonds. Continue to cook until mahogany colored (take it off the heat for a moment if it starts to smoke).
    Stir while removing from heat and pour into jelly roll pan (cookie sheet with sides).
    After 5 minutes, pour chips on candy and spread.
    Sprinkle walnuts on top. Candy is done when chocolate is dull.
    Cool completely and break into pieces.
