Vidalia Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 large onions
    2 sticks butter or margarine
    24 Ritz crackers, crumbled
    Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Peel onions and slice into thin rings.
    Saute in butter for 15 minutes.
    Put layer of onions, crackers and cheese in dish.
    Repeat layers.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    To dress up, top with French fried onion rings.
    Allow to heat awhile.
