Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
1 stick butter or 1/4 mold country butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sweet milk (at room temperature)
8 eggs
Preparation

Place sugar, Crisco, butter and flavoring in mixer bowl and store, covered, at room temperature overnight.
Have eggs in carton at room temperature overnight.
Beat sugar, Crisco, butter, vanilla and lemon flavoring at medium speed of mixer until fluffy and sugar is no longer grainy. Sift together flour and baking powder. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture alternately with milk, beating after each addition.
