Country Vanilla Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, beaten
    2 1/4 c. sugar
    5 c. milk
    4 c. (2 pt.) heavy cream
    4 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Add sugar gradually to beaten eggs; continue to beat until mixture is very stiff.
    Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.
    Pour into gallon container and freeze as directed on ice cream maker.
