Raisin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box raisins
    2 c. boiling water
    1 c. cold water
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    2 tsp. baking soda
    4 c. flour
Preparation
    Cook raisins 15 minutes in 2 cups water.
    Let cool.
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Combine flour, spices and baking soda.
    Add alternately with water to creamed mixture.
    Add raisins and water last.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
