Southern Chocolate-Mint Snaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
1 1/4 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
1/3 c. corn syrup
2 eggs
2 1/2 Tbsp. water
2 tsp. peppermint extract
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. and 2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Melt chocolate over hot water.
Remove from heat.
Cream shortening.
Gradually add 2 cups sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
Add melted chocolate, eggs, corn syrup, water and flavorings.
Mix well.
