Cheese Straws - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. red pepper
1/2 c. oleo
1 c. shredded sharp cheese
1/4 c. cold water
Preparation

Combine first 5 ingredients and sift together.
Set aside. Melt oleo and pour over cheese.
Add cheese to dry ingredients and cut in until it resembles coarse meal.
Sprinkle water into this mixture.
Stir until all is moistened and shape into a ball.
Roll into 1/8-inch thickness on floured surface.
Cut into 3 to 3 1/2-inch strips.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
