24-Hour Omelet - cooking recipe
Ingredients

7 slices bread, buttered
8 eggs
2 1/2 c. milk
3/4 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
dash of red pepper (cayenne)
3/4 lb. Longhorn cheese, grated
cubes of ham, chipped ham or 2 pkg. smoked dried beef
Preparation

Butter bread and cut in 1-inch cubes; place in a 9 x 13-inch dish with buttered sides up.
Beat eggs with milk and seasoning. Pour over bread, then put ham on top and cheese as final layer. Cover with tinfoil and bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
Can be prepared 24 hours ahead of time and kept in refrigerator until time to be baked.
