Lucy'S Icebox Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1 beaten egg
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. cold water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    3 3/4 c. flour
Preparation
    Combine shortening and boiling water.
    Stir until fat melts. Add egg, sugar and salt.
    Beat in cold water.
    Soften yeast in lukewarm water.
    Combine mixture and flour.
    Cover with damp cloth and chill overnight.
    Next day, shape and let rise in a warm place for 1 to 2 hours.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Makes 2 dozen.
