Sausage Gravy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. fresh sage sausage
1 Tbsp. salt
9 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 Tbsp. pepper
Preparation

Fry and chop the sausage.
Add flour and brown.
If sausage is dry, you may need to add shortening when adding flour.
Add salt and pepper; stir well.
Add milk; heat to boiling point and reduce heat.
Simmer for a few minutes, stirring constantly.
Makes approximately 2 1/2 quarts gravy.
