Easy Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 baked pie shell
    1 qt. strawberries
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Line bottom of pie shell with largest berries, about 1/2 the quart.
    Mash the remainder of berries and cook with sugar, water and cornstarch until thick.
    Cool completely and then pour over berries in the shell.
    Chill for about 2 hours before serving and add whipped cream or Cool Whip.
