Applesauce Donuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    vegetable oil (for frying)
    2 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    10x powdered sugar (optional)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1/4 c. milk
    1 c. unsweetened applesauce
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Fill a large heavy saucepan or electric skillet 2/3 full with vegetable oil.
    Heat to 360\u00b0 on a deep fat frying thermometer. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt onto a piece of wax paper.
    Beat together the granulated sugar, brown sugar and eggs in large bowl with an electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy.
    Beat in 2 tablespoons oil.
    Stir in flour mixture alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
    Stir in the applesauce and vanilla.
